60-year-old man injured in car collision after using cell phone behind the wheel

AUSTIN, TX – A 60-year-old man was injured after crashing his 2019 silver GMC into a fixed object on Wednesday afternoon. According to Austin Police reports, the man was distracted while driving and using his cell phone behind the wheel. He crashed the vehicle on U.S 130 north of Von Quintos Road. The Travis County Sherrif’s Department arrived on the scene at around 3:35 p.m.

The other two occupants in the vehicle, a 33-year-old and a 24-year old, were both uninjured in the collision.
