Collision on Anderson Lane kills one, injures two others

AUSTIN, TX. – According to Austin Police Department officials, one person was killed, and two others were injured in a collision involving a car and a box truck on Anderson Lane. The crash occurred at 12:18 today at the 2100 block of East Anderson Lane. APD and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene shortly afterward and worked to extricate the victims from the wreckage.

All three victims were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for emergency treatment. Authorities report that one was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries, while the third victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to KXAN News.

A portion of the road has been closed as police continue to investigate the scene. Anyone who is traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 183 is encouraged to exit at the North Lamar intersection where the access road remains open.
