Crash Alert: 1 killed, 5 hurt in overnight crash

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency services in South Austin were called to a fatal crash with several injuries early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened within the 2800 block of Farm to Market 1327 Road around 2:30 a.m. Paramedics worked to pull one victim who was trapped inside a vehicle as well as treat others injured in the crash.

According to the Austin-Travis County EMS Twitter page, one person died while waiting for STARflight and five others were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. We will continue to provide any updates as they are made available by South Austin Police.
