ROUND ROCK, TX – A woman died after a crash that closed a stretch of Interstate 35 in Round Rock Thursday morning, according to the Austin American-Statesman.
Police said the woman was driving a Ford Edge when she was involved in a collision with another vehicle near RM 620 and Exit 253 sometime before 8 a.m. The victim, a 23-year-old Killeen resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. No information was immediately released on what led to the accident. No other injuries have been reported.
A portion of the southbound lanes of I-35 were closed, causing extensive traffic delays. The lanes were reported to have reopened by about 10:30 a.m.
