Crash Alert: 3 Hospitalized following wrong-way collision in North Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Paramedics with Austin-Travis County EMS rushed three people to the hospital after a multi-vehicle wrong-way crash in North Austin early Friday morning.

According to CBS Austin, the incident was reported at about 12:50 a.m. within the 600 block East St. John’s Avenue near I-35.

Police believe a driver was traveling north in the oncoming southbound lanes when they collided with a driver traveling in the opposite direction and then struck another car immediately after.

EMS transported three victims to Dell Seton Medical center, one with potentially serious injures and two others with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials have not said if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
