Crash Alert: Accident closes street in downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in Austin were forced to shut down at least one lane on a busy downtown street following a Tuesday afternoon crash.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the incident occurred just after 3:00 p.m. at 3823 East Martin Luther King Boulevard near the Texas Workforce Commission offices.

No word on whether any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash has been released. However, authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area if at all possible, as delays are likely throughout Tuesday’s rush-hour
