Crash Alert: Austin man identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash

TEMPLE, TX – 34-year-old Johnaton James Amaro was killed as the result of a motorcycle crash along Interstate 35 in Temple Saturday morning.

The accident happened on I-35 at West Nugent Avenue. Amaro, a resident of Austin was believed to have lost control of his motorcycle and ejected on to the road, according to KCEN. He was later pronounced dead.

Police were forced to shut down this portion of I-35 while the crash was investigated. Any details regarding what may have caused Amaro to lose control of his motorcycle have not yet been released.
