AUSTIN, TX – Emergency services in South Austin have reported one serious injury following a three-car collision on Menchaca Road Thursday afternoon.
According to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS, the accident occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. near the intersection of Menchaca Rd. and Boyds Way.
Initial reports were of one vehicle rolled over and multiple passengers pinned inside.

Paramedics were able to extract two people from one of the vehicles. One patient was rushed to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries. Three other people refused treatment at the scene.
This is a developing story. Motorists have been advised to avoid this portion of Menchaca Road throughout Thursday evening as delays and closures are likely.
