Crash alert: Man killed when motorcycle goes off road in Del Valle

DEL VALLE, TX – A man was killed when his motorcycle was involved in a crash on a roadway in Del Valle Sunday night, according to KXAN.

Austin-Travis County EMS and Travis County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene in the 10600 block of FM 812 shortly before 8:15 p.m.  The Texas Department of Public Safety said 22-year-old Jose Martinez-Garcia was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle when it went off the road while going into a curve.  The motorcycle struck a guardrail and Martinez-Garcia was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Texas DPS said the motorcycle traveled off the road due to being driven at excessive speed.
