Crash alert: Motorcyclist critically injured in east Austin accident

AUSTIN, TX – A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash that affected traffic in east Austin over the weekend.

According to KXAN, the incident occurred Saturday morning in the area of Decker Lane and FM 969, and was reported shortly before 6 a.m. Police and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene. One adult was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Motorists were advised to expect road closures and traffic delays while the scene was being cleared. The road reopened to traffic at about 8:30 a.m.
