Crash Alert: Officials release the Identity of the woman killed in a North Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – North Austin Officials have released the identity of a woman who died after striking a utility pole on North Lamar Boulevard on June 25th.

Shelby Bean, 29, was traveling within the 2600 block of North Lamar Boulevard at about 7:13 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and veered into the pole, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Officials arrived on the scene and found Bean’s boyfriend trying to help her. She was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center where she died shortly after.

It is unclear what caused Bean to lose control of the vehicle.
