Crash Alert: One hospitalized after being pinned inside their vehicle following a South Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Officials with Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services responded to reports of a vehicle hanging off of an overpass in South Austin Monday night.

The incident happened in the 4900 block of U.S. Highway 290 shortly after 9:00 p.m., according to the official Twiter page of Austin-Travis County EMS.

Officials extracted three individuals from the vehicle on the overpass. One patient was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center while two others refused transport and were released at the scene.
