Crash alert: One killed, two hurt in crash at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas

AUSTIN, TX — One person was killed and another injured Saturday morning in a pickup truck crash at the Circuit of the Americas in southeast Austin, according to KXAN.

Crews with Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the accident in the 9500 block of Circuit of Americas Boulevard at approximately 5:15 a.m.

Investigators say the pickup truck had crashed into a gate at the venue, killing one of its passengers, according to FOX 7 Austin.

Another person in the truck was transported to St. David’s South Austin hospital with life-threatening injuries. Medics evaluated a third person at the scene for minor injuries.

No other information has been reported on the events leading up to the crash.
