Crash Alert: Over 20 injured in North Austin crane collision

AUSTIN, TX – Sixteen people were hospitalized and six others injured after two cranes collided in Northeast Austin.

According to CNN, the incident happened within the 1600 block of Robert Browning Street at about 10:00 a.m.

Officials have described the incident as a crane vs. crane accident at a construction site. No structural collapses resulted from the collision.

No fatalities have been reported. However, 16 people were transported to the hospital via eight ambulances to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A total of 22 people were treated at the scene.

All of the victims that were injured worked at the construction site.
