Crash alert: Pedestrian hospitalized following south Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash that injured a pedestrian in south Austin Sunday night, KXAN reports. It happened in the area of Interstate 35 and Brandt Road, and was reported at about 9:25 p.m.

Austin-Travis County EMS arrived and found the adult victim with potentially serious injuries. The person was transported St. David’s South Austin.

The incident affected traffic on I-35, where the northbound lanes were shut down at Slaughter Lane for about 35 minutes.
