Crash Alert: Travis County officials search for hit-and-run suspect who injured a Sheriff’s Deputy

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – The Travis County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual who hit a deputy near the scene of a highway crash then fled.

According to KXAN, the incident happened on June 12th just before 11:30 p.m. when the deputy was responding to a crash on FM 812. The driver of the vehicle ignored deputies’ request to stop, drove through the scene and struck one of them in the process.

The deputy was hospitalized with minor injuries and was later released. The vehicle is said to be an early 2000’s Infiniti i30 with damage on the rear driver’s side door and/or the hood of the car.
