Crash Alert: Two dead, One child injured after Travis County accident

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – Travis County officials are reporting two fatalities and one child with severe injuries following an early morning crash Friday.

According to KVUE, the crash occurred within the 2900 block of US Highway 290 at about 5:48 a.m. Authorities believe the vehicle collided with a fixed object along the freeway. Both adult patients were declared deceased upon Emergency services arrived on the scene. The child was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition.

No word on what may have caused the crash or the condition of the child has been released as of yet. Police recommend avoiding this portion of US 290 throughout Friday to avoid any delays.
