Crash Alert: Victim pinned in their vehicle following crash with semi-truck

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in Austin responded to a car-versus-semi crash that left one person trapped inside their vehicle Monday evening.

According to the Austin-Travis County EMS Twitter page, the incident occurred along the 4500 block of East State Highway 71 near Southeast Metropolitan Park just after 5:oo p.m. Officials were able to extract the victim from their vehicle and treat them for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene of the crash.

No word on how the accident happened or if there were any other injuries has been released. The situation is ongoing and we will provide those details if they are made available by Austin Police.
