Crash Alert: Woman rescued from truck wedged between retaining wall

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency services in North Austin rescued a woman from a truck dangling off a retaining wall late Monday night.

According to KXAN, the incident happened at a North Austin Studio 6 motel parking lot off of I-35 near 290, at about 11:30 p.m. Officials on the scene say a woman accidentally drove her vehicle through a fence and came to rest between retaining walls at a 45-degree angle.

Fire and EMS officials secured the vehicle with chains and pulled the driver to safety.

The woman was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Details regarding what may have caused the woman to drive through the fence are still under investigation.
