Crash Alert: DWI driver crashes through police barrier and nearly hits reporter

AUSTIN, TX – A motorist was charged with a driving while intoxicated after he drove through a barrier outside Austin Police Department headquarters last night. According to KXAN, the motorist was driving the wrong way into oncoming traffic near a protest at the APD headquarters. He crashed through a police barrier and nearly hit a reporter covering the protests.

The incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. According to police, no one was injured in the crash, and the driver was arrested shortly after the accident.
