Crash Alert: Man killed in collision with 18-wheeler in Taylor

TAYLOR, TX. – A man was killed in a collision with an 18-wheeler on in Taylor, Texas.

According to KXAN, the crash occurred at around 5:45 a.m. on the 300 block of Carlos Parker Boulevard SW. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Dillon Patrick Coy, of Bremond, Texas. Coy was reportedly driving westbound in a 2001 Honda when his vehicle veered off the road and hit a reflector pole. According to police, he then overcorrected and veered into oncoming traffic, striking a semi-truck heading eastbound. Coy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was transported to Seton Williamson County Medical Center with minor injuries.

This is the first fatal crash in Taylor this year.
