Multiple 18-wheelers crash on IH-35 South

JARRELL, TX – The Jarrell Police Department shut down southbound traffic on IH-35 on Thursday morning after several 18-wheelers crashed in a construction zone.

Fox 7 reports that three 18-wheelers crashed at IH-35 Mile Marker 271 near Ronald Reagan Boulevard around 2:00 a.m. on May 14. The police found the damaged trucks on an area of the highway that is under construction. However, the officers are unsure of the cause of the crash and are currently investigating the incident.

One of the truck drivers was injured in the crash and officials transported this driver to a local hospital for treatment. There is no information about the type or severity of the driver’s injuries.

Officials diverted all highway traffic to the IH-35 frontage road and Ronald Reagan Boulevard while they investigated and cleared the scene. However, normal traffic on IH-35 has now resumed.
