Crash Alert: Pedestrian killed while attempting to cross I-35

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in Austin responded to an accident along Interstate 35 in which a pedestrian attempting to cross the busy freeway was struck and killed early last Friday morning.

According to Fox 7 Austin, the crash occurred within the 11800 block of North I-35 shortly after 4:30 a.m. on July 10th. The unidentified pedestrian, who is believed to be in his mid-20’s, was hit by a motorist in a Hyundai Elantra traveling in the southbound lanes.

Paramedics attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver involved in the crash at this time.

Police are asking for the public’s’ help with any information that may help identify the victim.
