Crash Alert: Southeast Austin Police chase ends with car crashing into a river

AUSTIN, TX – An Austin police pursuit Wednesday afternoon resulted in the suspect’s vehicle swerving off the road and into a river.

According to KXAN, Austin police responded to a suspicious vehicle call around 12:23 Wednesday. Upon further investigation, they determined the car was possibly stolen and a chase ensued.

Following a short pursuit, the vehicle careens into a river near the 400 block of South Pleasant Valley Road. All occupants were able to exit safely. Further information on their arrest has not yet been made available.
