AUSTIN, TX – A traffic hazard reported in east Austin has slowed rush hour traffic going into downtown Wednesday morning.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the accident occurred at about 7:45 a.m. near the intersection of East 3rd Street and San Marcos Street in East Austin.

Details on what may have caused the hazard have not yet been released. However, to avoid any delays, drivers are encouraged to avoid the area until the hazard can be cleared from the road.
