AUSTIN, TX – Authorities in Austin responded to a rush-hour accident along Highway 290 westbound Wednesday.

The crash occurred at 6:51 p.m where Hwy 290 crosses over West William Cannon at Forest Oaks Memorial Park, according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page. Police were forced to limit traffic on the freeway to service the accident, causing heavy traffic to build up towards the end of rush hour.
