AUSTIN, TX – Officials are reporting a fatality in connection to a Sunday-morning collision in central Austin, reports CBS Austin.
The fatality crash occurred sometime before 1:30 a.m. on the westbound side of East Koenig Lane at Airport Boulevard, which is west of I-35 and south of the Austin Community College’s Highland Campus.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the collision, the number of vehicles involved, or the name of the deceased. They say that medics performed CPR at the scene but were unsuccessful in resuscitating the victim.
It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the wreck.
Officials closed roads in the area of the accident while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
