LAGO VISTA, TX – A fatality has been reported in connection to a two-vehicle collision that occurred Saturday in northwest Travis County.

According to Fox 7 Austin, the accident happened in the afternoon at the intersection of FM 1431 and Tessera Parkway near Lakeside at Tessera on Lake Travis.

Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the crash or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.

Authorities declared one person deceased at the scene. They’ve not yet released the name of the victim.

Medics transported two additional patients to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Officials closed 1431 in the area of the collision for multiple hours while emergency crews gathered evidence, assisted the victims, and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
