AUSTIN, TX – At least one person died Monday in a multi-vehicle collision at a busy south Austin intersection, reports KXAN.
Shortly before 5 p.m., emergency teams responded to a major crash at South 1st Street and West William Cannon Drive, which is just north of Bedichek Middle School and southeast of Armadillo Neighborhood Park.
Police haven’t shared any details regarding the circumstances of the accident except to say that it involved two vehicles.
It’s not yet clear how many people died and how many required hospitalization for injuries.
Officials closed the intersection while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
