AUSTIN, TX – At least one person died Monday morning in a scooter crash at a busy intersection in northwest Austin, reports KXAN.
The accident occurred around 4 a.m. at the intersection of FM 620 and Boulder Lane, which is just northeast of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in the Oaks area.
There’s no word yet regarding the circumstances of the collision, which police say involved a scooter and a vehicle.
Authorities have not yet released any details about the victims, nor is it clear how many people were hurt.
Officials closed both sides of FM 620 for at least four hours Monday morning while emergency teams gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
