TAYLOR, TX – Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that killed a 59-year-old Taylor woman in east-central Williamson County on Thursday.
According to Taylor Press, the collision occurred just after 4 p.m. on North Main Street between Chandler Road and Mallard Lane on the far north side of Taylor.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a black 2013 Subaru neglected to yield the right of way to a pedestrian crossing the road on a mobility scooter.
The Subaru struck 59-year-old Ramona Pavlas, fatally injuring her at the scene.
Police haven’t yet commented on the condition of the driver at the time of the crash, and it’s unclear if she will face charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
