CEDAR PARK, TX – Police are investigating a major accident that killed one person and injured four others over the Father’s Day weekend in Cedar Park.
According to KVUE, the two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday along FM 2769 west of Anderson Mill Road. This is northeast of Twin Creeks Historic Park in the Bella Vista area.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the accident or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted. They say that one person became entrapped and required extrication.
Authorities declared one person deceased at the scene of crash. They’ve not yet released the name of the victim.
Medics airlifted one person to an area hospital with serious injuries, and took two other people with non-critical injuries to the hospital via ground ambulance. One person involved in the collision did not require hospitalization.
Officials urged drivers to avoid the area while crews assisted the victims and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
