AUSTIN, TX – Medics transported two people to the hospital on Wednesday night following a head-on collision near the airport, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened at 9:07 p.m. on the southbound side of US-183 near Ben White Boulevard, which is just northwest of Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

The cause of the accident is still unknown. Police say that one person became entrapped and required extrication following the head-on collision.

Both patients went to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.
