AUSTIN, TX – Two people sustained injuries Wednesday in a single-vehicle collision involving a school bus in north Austin, reports hoodline Austin.
The incident occurred in the morning on Steck Avenue near North Mopac Expressway. This is just south of US-183 in the Arbors neighborhood.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of an AISD school bus lost control of the vehicle, left Steck Avenue, and fell down the embankment near the frontage road for Mopac.
Medics transported the bus driver and one other adult from the bus to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
The bus was not carrying any students at the time of the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
