AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police have shared additional details about a crash that killed one person last Friday in South Austin.
According to KVUE Austin, the incident happened around 4 a.m. on Slaughter Lane between Alice Mae Lane and I-35.
Police still have not disclosed the cause of the accident, but they have clarified that only one vehicle was involved.
The sole driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities identified him as 28-year-old Akeal Nechoma Brown.
Slaughter Lane remained closed for multiple hours Friday morning while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked at the scene.
