LEE CO., TX – A Tuesday morning crash along the highway near Giddings blocked traffic while crews worked at the scene, reports TxDOT Austin.

The incident happened sometime before 9:16 a.m. on US-290 at FM 180 Road, which is east of Giddings and west of Ledbetter.
It’s not yet clear what led to the crash. Officials closed the westbound lanes of the highway immediately following the accident.
