LOCKHART, TX – Police are investigating after a truck crashed through the front of a vintage store in north-central Caldwell County on Monday.
According to KVUE, the accident happened around 9 a.m. at Magic Mirror Vintage, which is located at 111 West San Antonio Street near Colossus Books and Golden Hour in downtown Lockhart. This is about 33 miles southeast of Austin.
It’s not yet clear what might have caused the driver of a truck to accelerate and lose control of his vehicle while leaving the parking lot of First-Lockhart National Bank across the street.
The owner of Magic Mirror reported extensive damage to the front façade of the building and to a large percentage of the store’s merchandise.
No injuries have been reported in connection to the crash, and no charges have been filed thus far.
Officials closed West San Antonio in the area of the accident for just over two hours while crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
