SPICEWOOD, TX – Emergency teams responded to a rollover collision with multiple injuries late last week in southeast Burnet County.

According to KVUE, the accident happened Thursday along TX-71 near Deerpath Way on the northwest side of Spicewood, which is about 35 miles northwest of Austin.

Authorities haven’t yet specified the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved. They say that at least one vehicle overturned and that 15 people required hospitalization for injuries sustained in the accident.

Officials closed TX-71 in the area of the collision while crews assisted the victims and worked to clear the wreckage.
