AUSTIN, TX – A two-vehicle collision along a major roadway in north Austin injured two people on Memorial Day, reports KVUE and ATCEMS.
The accident occurred sometime before 10:15 a.m. along Metric Boulevard between Stonehollow Drive and Bittern Hollow. This is just east of Austin Community College’s Northridge campus.
Authorities haven’t yet determined the cause of the accident, but they say the impact of the collision threw one person from their vehicle. Ultimately, one person from each vehicle required hospitalization, and one of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries.
Drivers likely encountered significant delays along Metric Boulevard in the area of the crash while emergency teams assisted the victims and worked at the scene.
