AUSTIN, TX – A man died Saturday from injuries sustained earlier this month in an auto-pedestrian crash in east-central Austin.
According to KXAN, the accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 2nd, just north of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Airport Boulevard. This is east of I-35 in the Rosewood neighborhood.
Police haven’t yet indicated if the victim was walking in or outside of a designated crosswalk when the car hit him.
Medics transported the pedestrian to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries 13 days after the crash. Authorities identified the victim as 35-year-old Javar R. Quinton.
The driver involved in the the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
No charges have been announced at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
