AUSTIN, TX – At least one ambulance responded to a major two-vehicle crash along the highway in southeast Austin on Tuesday.
According to CBS Austin, the accident occurred around 6 a.m. on US-183 near William Cannon Road. This is just southwest of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and north of Mustang Ridge.
Police haven’t shared any details about the crash except to say that two vehicles collided head-on. Photos taken at the scene indicate that a black sedan and a maroon sedan may have been involved.
There’s no word yet regarding injuries or the number of people requiring hospitalization.
Officials closed the southbound side of US-183 in the area of the crash while emergency crews worked at the scene.
