AUSTIN, TX – Emergency teams responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries in southwest Austin on Tuesday afternoon, reports ATCEMS.

The accident occurred on the westbound frontage road for US-290 between Staggerbrush Road and Mopac Expressway. This is just north of Target and west of South Town Square.
Police haven’t yet shared any details about the cause of the collision. They say that one person became entrapped in their vehicle and required extrication.
Medics transported two people to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
Officials urged drivers to expect delays along US-290 in the area of the crash while medics assisted the victims and crews worked at the scene.
