AUSTIN, TX – Several people were hurt Thursday afternoon in a major crash along the Ben White service road in South Austin.
According to Fox 7 Austin, the injury accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on the eastbound side of the road at Todd Lane. This is east of I-35 and southeast of Mabel Davis District Park.
Police say that nine people sustained injuries in the collision. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved. Additionally, while ambulances responded to the scene, it’s unclear how many people required hospitalization.
Officials urged motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while emergency crews helped the victims and worked to clear the scene.
