AUSTIN, TX – A 68-year-old man sustained serious injuries last Saturday when a vehicle struck him along a major roadway in south Killeen.
According to Fox 44 News, the accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. along East Stan Schlueter Loop between Velma Drive and Dartmouth Drive. This is near Lions Club Park.
Police say that a black Nissan Rogue struck the pedestrian as he attempted to Stan Schlueter Loop. It’s unclear if the man was utilizing a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Nissan did not stop to render aid or to speak with police.
Medics airlifted the victim to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Authorities are looking for a Nissan Rogue SUV. They say the vehicle likely has front-end damage.
