AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police and EMS responded to a fatal motorcycle crash along a major roadway in northeast Austin on Thursday morning.
According to KXAN, the accident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on East Braker Lane just southeast of Pioneer Farms Drive in the Pioneer Crossing area.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a motorcyclist lost control of their bike and hit a pole along Braker Lane. Despite a bystander’s attempts to render aid, the biker died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim to the public.
Officials closed East Braker Lane for just over three hours while crews attended to the victim and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
