AUSTIN, TX – Police are still trying to identify the victim in a single-vehicle accident that happened last Thursday in east-central Austin.

The incident occurred just before 7:40 p.m. in the area of East 51st Street and Mueller Boulevard, which is just northeast of Dell Children’s Medical Center.

The investigation indicates that a driver crashed into a pole along the roadway. Medics performed CPR, but the driver died at the scene.

Now, almost a week after the accident, police say they have still not been able to identify the victim.
