AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man last Friday morning.
According to the City of Austin, the collision occurred just prior to 7:15 a.m. on East William Cannon Drive near Pleasant Valley Road in the Onion Creek neighborhood. This is just southwest of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
It’s not yet clear if the male pedestrian was walking on or along William Cannon when a vehicle hit him, causing fatal injuries.
The pedestrian, later identified as Opendra Bohara, died at the scene of the accident.
The unidentified driver remained at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.
A full investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the crash.
