Crash Alert: Red River hit-and-run hospitalizes pedestrian

AUSTIN, TX – A male pedestrian went to the hospital early Friday morning after a vehicle struck him at an intersection in downtown Austin, reports CBS Austin.

Police say the incident occurred at 1:58 a.m. in the Red River Cultural District at the intersection of East 7th Street and Red River Street.

Authorities are looking for the driver of a white pickup truck, which they say fled the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the pedestrian to Dell Seton on a trauma alert.
