AUSTIN, TX – A 49-year-old man died last Tuesday from injuries sustained two days prior in a southeast Austin bicycle crash.
According to KXAN, the accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 13th, at the intersection of Montopolis Drive and Carnation Terrace, which is north of Riverside Drive and southeast of the Montopolis Recreation and Community Center.
Details regarding the accident remain limited. Police say that a pickup truck and a bicycle collided, and that the cyclist was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with what would prove to be fatal injuries.
Authorities identified the victim as Reginaldo Perez.
The driver of the pickup truck stopped to render and and to speak with police.
No charges have been referenced thus far.
The investigation is ongoing.
