BELL CO., TX – One person sustained injuries Thursday in a single-vehicle collision along the highway in north-central Bell County.
According to KWTX 10, the accident happened around 5 a.m. on TX-36 near Morgan’s Point Resort. This is just northwest of Temple and about 74 miles north of Austin.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the circumstances of the crash except to say that a vehicle overturned multiple times along the highway, entrapping one person.
Medics extricated one patient and transported them to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Authorities say that wet roadways may have been a factor in causing the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
